Next Friday is my Junior Prom and I'm a little nervous about it. (This is my first formal dance and first actual date with my new boyfriend.) Our theme is "Harlem Nights" (sort of like the 1920s: Jazz, etc.) What color/style dress do you think I should get? I was thinking a dark color, maybe a dark red or purple. My skin color is almost like a light tan, a little bit darker around my neck and shoulders, so I don't want to get anything too light that would overly-stand out. Also, my date will be wearing a tux so I'm trying to avoid black.
